How Much Do You Charge?Costs for face painting are $150.00 per hour and there is a 1 hour minimum. I work with families and events after the hour and do 30 min increments if more time is needed or desired. The 30min rate is $75.00

Why Do You Charge What You Charge?I LOVE my job and this is not just a hobby or "side gig" for me, it is my business and just like any business there are operational costs such as: taxes, insurance, cost of materials, transportation and so on. Safety is very important to me and I want to ensure that my guests are not just happy but safe as well. One way I practice safety is by purchasing paints that are FDA compliant and made for use on the skin. While I understand that we are always looking for the best deal, and cheaper alternatives, I assure you that I will provide quality service and professionalism at all times.
-
How Much Time Do I Book? When in doubt and trying to estimate a time frame, a good rule of thumb is 5 minutes per face painting. While I do offer a face painting menu, some children have BIG imaginations and want elaborate designs. I cannot give you an exact estimation of time but I do offer increments of 30 mins after the 1st hour to help when in doubt.

My Child Has Sensitive Skin. Can You Still Face Paint Them?If your child has a known skin sensitivity I can do a patch test prior to them getting painted to see if there will be a reaction. All the paints that are used are FDA approved and specifically for face painting. First time face painters or events with limited supplies may use acrylic craft paint which is not only dangerous but harmful and can cause peels, stains, and does not look good once it dries. We use only FDA approved face / body paint for the skin because we are committed to the safety of our clients. The paints are water based formulas that are specifically designed to be hypo-allergenic, gentle and easy to remove with mild soap and water. The brands that are in my kit are TAG, FAB, Paradise, Wolfe FX, Silly Farm, and Kryolan.

From Birthday Parties to Festivals and Renaissance Fairs Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Grand Openings, Halloween makeup, Limited Gore FX, Farmers' Markets Fund Raisers, Family Reunions, Holiday Theme Parties, School Gatherings etc. If you want to verify we can handle your event, contact us and let's chat about the details.

How Do you Keep Your Kit and Brushes Clean? In an effort to keep everything sanitary, I wipe my table down with Lysol/Clorox wipes before and after every event. I have implemented a Brush Bath in my KIT to clean my brushes in between faces and I change the water after every child. The Brush Bath is a brush cleaner, sanitizer, and makeup remover. For more information on what it is you can click here. After events my brushes are washed using antibacterial soaps and I wash every single brush individually to make ensure that they are clean and ready to go for another event. If a child wants lipstick, I use Q-Tips, not my brushes and no double dipping. I will not paint a child who has/shows symptoms of a cold or flu and are not limited to open sores, a runny nose, or a fever. These are some of the many precautions that I take and I try to expand my knowledge on new sanitary cautions.

If My Kid Is Sick Can You Still Paint Them? No, in order to avoid the spread of potential germs and infections, I do not paint a guest with a cold sore, open wound or continuously runny nose, fevers or signs of illness. There are circumstances where I will offer the guest an alternative instead but it is in rare conditions. In an effort to not spread germs or any viruses, I will not paint children with Flu-like symptoms or colds. I apologize for the inconvenince but I am looking to the safety of all my guests and your child as well.
